THE POSTAL SERVICE OF ARUBA: On January 1, 1986, the first Aruban stamps were issued. This coincided with the establishment of Aruba's Status Aparte, making Aruba independent from the Netherlands Antilles and an equal member of the Kingdom of Holland.
