Republica Popular de Mocambique
MOZAMBIQUE Mozambique - was a part of Portuguese Africa since 1751 and an overseas province of Portugal since 1951. It became independent as the People's Republic of Mozambique in 1975. A new consitution and name change to the Republic of Mozambique took place in 1990. Postage stamps have been issued from 1877.
